加大我省地方中小水电开发力度

Accelerating Development of Small and Medium Hydropower Projects in Yunnan Province

我省水能资源十分丰富，在实现经济体制和经济增长方式两个根本性转变过程中，合理开发资源，进一步发挥水电的作用，为全省经济提供有力的电力支撑，促进地区间协调发展，是我省经济持续发展具有战略性的问题。鉴于我省社会经济仍处于社会主义初级阶段的低层次这一现状，在水能资源开发上，应积极发展中小水电，加大边远、贫困地区、民族地区的中小水电开发力度。

Yunnan Province is quite rich in hydropower resources. How to develop the hydropower potentials in a rational way, to provide sufficient electricity to development of the provincial economy and to promote local coordination for the development is a strategic issue in sustainable developmecnt of economy. In view of the socio-economy still being at a low level of the socialist preliminary stage in Yunnan Province it is necessary to develop medium and small hydropower projects in an active way, especially in the remote, or poor or ethnic group areas.
