系统功能语言学中的社会演化思想剖析

An Analysis of the Thought of Social Evolution Incorporate into Systemic-functional Linguistics

以韩礼德为代表的系统功能语言学继承了哲学、人类学、社会学、心理学等语言学以外学科的思想成果。作为社会学和生物学的重要思想之一的社会演化思想也是系统功能语言思想的重要内核之一。系统功能语言学主要在三个方面体现了深刻的社会演化思想:系统功能语言学的语言属性观、系统功能语言学的语义观和系统功能语言学的语法隐喻理论。从社会演化思想中关于语言的论述出发,剖析了系统功能语言学中体现出的社会演化思想。这一研究有助于进一步理解系统功能语言学与社会学、生物学等学科的内在联系,也进一步论证了"语言是一个演化系统"这一观点的正确性。

It is generally acknowledged that systemic-functional linguistics is built upon achievements in various fields, including philosophy, anthropology, sociology and psychology. The current study holds that the thought of social evolution, one of the most important achievements in sociology and biology, proves to be one of the core ideas that contribute to building up systemic-functional language philosophy. The thought of social evolution is embodied in three aspects of systemic-functional linguistics, namely, its view on the nature of language, its view on meaning, its theory of grammatical metaphor. By beginning with a brief review of relevant discussions on language by social evolution theorists, this study probes into the thought of social evolution embodied in systemic-functional linguistics. This study is to promote further understanding in the intricate connection between systemic-functional linguistics and sociology and biology. It is also to help prove the validity of the view that ＂language is an evolutionary system＂.
