党的十六届六中全会提出构建社会主义和谐社会的宏伟目标,而构建社会主义和谐社会是个长期的系统工程,要完成这样的宏伟工程不能没有纵向的历史文化的承接,不能没有丰厚的文化底蕴,这就使得我们不能不把眼光投向具有数千年历史的精深博大的中华传统文化,在继承中国传统文化的根基之上,处理好人与人、人与社会、人与自然的关系,形成有中国特色的社会主义新文化,为社会主义和谐社会的建立奠定文化基础。

It is a long - term systematic project, without the longitudinal undertaking of the history culture and the rich cultural background, this magnificent goal cannot be achieved, the profound Chinese traditional culture can provide important cultural resources and a strong spiritual support and effect in the aspects of harmonizing the relationship among people and the relationship between human being and society, the relationship between people and nature, forming the socialist new culture with Chinese Characteristics, put a solid culture foundation for the construction of a harmonious socialist society. This paper mainly does some research on how to promote Chinese traditional culture in order to construct the harmonious socialist society.
