Once Again the Arabs Turn Their Eyes to China——The Arabs’ Concern of the Chinese Literature in Ear Post-1949

阿拉伯世界与中国的交往历史悠久,在中古时期十分密切,但在近代时期,双方的交往几乎陷于停滞。新中国成立后,中国在国际舞台的地位和作用日益重要,这促使阿拉伯世界再次把关注的目光转向中国。本文对1949年后阿拉伯世界的中国文学翻译状况作了较为全面的梳理和考察,以期透过文学交流之一斑来察看新中国建立之后,综合国力的提升对文化交流所起的促进作用。

Contact and exchange between China and the Arab world witness quite a long history, with the medieval ages in particular; but such a contact and exchange were mostly in status of being stagnant when entering the modem times. With the founding of new China in 1949, the Arabs once more turned their eyes to China. The paper therefore makes a detailed research to the status of the Arabs＇ translation to Chinese literature, so as to provide to our readers a rough picture on cultural exchange between China and the Arab world along with the promotion of China＇ s overall economic strength.
