With the development of PBB/PBB-TE technology, traditional Ethernet technology plays an important role in the deploying of metro area network. This paper looked back the evolution of Ethernet, described the technical details of PBB/PBB-TE, and discussed their application in the MAN referring to an example of SIN＇s CE network.
