ECM——Event-Domain Cognitive Model and Indirect Directives

从1975年塞尔提出间接言语行为理论之后,间接言语行为尤其是间接指令这种语言现象就成为了研究的热点。近年来,人们开始从认知语言学的角度认识间接言语行为,如言语行为转喻理论以及原型范畴理论。从认知语言学的三大认知模型之一——事件域认知模型出发,通过其模型的两个主要因素:行为和事体来分析并解释间接指令,并且兼顾动态行为以及静态行为,对于重新认识以及理解间接指令有重要的意义。

Since Searle put forward the theory of Indirect Speech Acts in 1975, the linguistic phenomenon of Indirect speech acts especially indirect directives has become a key point. In recent years, more and more studies are carried out from the cognitive perspective such as Speech Act Metonymies theory and Prototypical Category theory. This paper mainly analyses and explains indirect directives from one of the Cognitive Models-the Event-domain Cognitive Model. It is meaningful to re-recognize and understand indirect directives.
