Tense Transfer and E-C Translation

从研究英语的基本时态入手,对英语中的时态交错现象在翻译中的具体处理作一浅析,并提出相关诠释。指出在英汉翻译时英语时态的实际意义必须从语言的深层结构上去挖掘,旨在翻译过程中能引起译者的注意,译出准确无误的译文。

This paper first carries a study of the fundamental tenses of English,depicting tense-transfer phenomenon and providing corresponding strategies in the translation practice.It tries to point out that the significance of English tenses can only be realized by an analysis of the deep-structure of language in E-C translation.It aims to arous the translators high awareness to this phenomenon and promoting them to produce more adequate translated versions.
