摘要
旅游外宣资料的翻译应该采取何种策略?从功能主义理论——目的论出发,认为应采用以目的语读者和目的语文化为导向的翻译策略,以目的语为中心来实现目的语读者跨文化交际的需求。文章以《杭州》一书为样本,从朝代纪年、历史人物、专有名词和古典诗词等几方面,对该书英译文本的汉译英作了具体分析和评判;并探讨了采用目的语为导向翻译策略的时代背景和理论依据。
What kind of strategy should be taken in terms of C-E translation of the English version for tourist publications? This treatise, from the angle of the Functionalist approach-Skopos, argues to adopt a target readership-oriented and target culture-oriented strategies of translation, centering around the target language to meet the needs of the target readership in cross-cultural communication. With lingual Hangzho versions, as a case in point, an in-depth analysis, ranging u-a brief introduction to the West Lake with multifrom aspects of historical years, historic figures, and particular names to Chinese classic poems, is made toward the C-E translation of its English version. Meanwhile, it is also explored what lie behind the adoption of such strategies:globalization setting and theoretical rationale.
