A Speculative Contrastive Study of English and Chinese in Learning French as a Second Language

本文旨在通过英、法、汉构词途径进行交叉式的辨析,辨明其诸多的异同之处,进而探寻产生英语专业学习法语具有优势现象的原因。思考汉语作为一种文化资源,应更广泛地推向世界,让世界人民通过汉语教学能进一步建造起一座宽阔的中外经济文化交流和人民交往的桥梁。

Through the way of expounding the similarities and differences by means of cross - linguistic contractive study of English, French and Chinese word - building ways, this paper tries to analyze the phenomenon of English majors having the advantage of learning French to find out the main causes of that phenomenon - language reasons and non - language reasons, and points out that the latter plays a crucial role on this issue. Furthermore, based on former researches, we are enlightened and recognize how to popularize Chinese and promote the culture exchange between the Chinese and the people in other countries.
