摘要
本文对超主权储备货币从理论和实践上是否具有可操作性展开了相关的分析研究。笔者认为,无论是对特别提款权进行改造,还是重新创设一种超主权的国际储备货币,在近期内都不具备可行性;对中国来说,更现实的选择是把握好此次美国金融危机所带来的契机,加速推动人民币国际化进程。
Zhou Xiaochuan, the governor of the People＇s Bank of China, made a splash prior to the recent G-20 summit by arguing that the International Monetary Fund＇s Special Drawing Right or a new super-sovereign reserve currency should replace the dollar as the world＇s reserve currency. This paper presents the study of feasibility of such an idea, and suggests that the world is not likely to shift quickly away from US dollar. The more realizable choice for China is to accelerate the internationalization of RMB.
