This paper, based on The Analects, analyzes Confucius＇ teaching of ＂Confucian Gentleman＂. It concerns the identification of ＂Gentleman＂, the Way of the Gentleman, and the reality and falsity of Gentleman. The clarification of these issues can help to understand the differences between Confucius＇ teaching and Socrates＇teaching.
