The Research Development of the Third Generation Mobile Communications in China

第三代移动通信IMT-2000系统是国际电联1987年提出的,预期在2000年左右投入商用.近来,随着ITU对IMT-2000标准化工作进程的加快,各国都在争相提供各自的候选技术方案.文章重点介绍了我国IMT-2000无线传输技术评估小组的构成情况以及开展IMT-2000研究活动的基本思路.

The third generation mobile communications system IMT-2000 is put forward by ITU in 1987 and it is expected to come into commercial use in the year 2000. With the speed-up of ITU standardization of IMT-2000, many countries are actively submitting candidacy radio transmission technologies (RTF). The making up of Chinese IMT-2000 RTT Evaluating & Coordinating Group and the IMT-2000 research activities in China are introduced in this paper.
