茂名市城市定位与发展策略研究

The Research on the Urban Orientation and Developmental Strategy of Maoming City

城市定位是指在社会经济发展的坐标系中综合地确定城市坐标的过程。基于茂名市城市发展现状和面临问题的系统分析,提出茂名市城市定位为"世界知名的石化工业城市,区域性的管理、文化、经济中心,综合性的现代化港口城市,美丽的海滨旅游生态园林城市",并从南跨滨海发展、行政区划调整、城市经营和城市规划管治等方面进行了发展策略思考。

The urban orientation is a course of determining comprehensively the urban coordinate in the coordinate system of the social and economic development of a city. According to the systemic analysis on the present situation of and existing problems in the urban development of Maoming City, this paper holds that Maoming City should be positioned as a ＂world-famous petrochemical industrial city, regional managerial,cultural and economic center, comprehensive modern harbor city, and beautiful coastal tourist ecological city＂, and makes the considerations about the development strategy from aspects of the coastal development in the south, administrative division adjustment, and urban management and urban governance, etc.
