The Position of Daughters in the Relations of Marriage and Family in Koryo Period

高丽时期"为人女"女性在择偶问题上享有与同一时代、同一阶层男性大致同等的地位;在家庭关系中,户籍记录方式和律法上以及实际的家庭生活中她们受性别因素的影响较少,受年龄因素的影响较多。在受教育方面,她们没能享有与其同辈兄弟相等的权利,女性不管身份贵贱,均没能接受学校教育,只接受有限的家庭教育。

In Koryo times, daughters enjoyed equal position in choosing spouse with men of the same times and of the same class. In family relations, they were less influenced by gender factors in the household registration, law and family life than that of age. In education, women could not get equal right with their brothers. No matter what status they had, women had no rights to receive school education, only getting limited family education.
