摘要
本实验比较了以意象图式为基础(ISBI)和以翻译为基础的词义教学法(TBI)对on,over及above三个多义介词的习得作用,探讨了意象图式理论对二语词汇习得尤其是多义介词习得的影响和作用。实验结果表明,实验组以意象图式为基础的词义教学其效果明显优于实验组以翻译为基础的词义教学。本实验证明意象图式理论对英语多义介词词汇教学十分有效。
This study investigates the effect of the image-sehema theory on the acquisition of the English polysemous prepositions by comparing the effectiveness of two types of instruction, namely, the image-schema-based instruction ( ISBI ) and the translation-based instruction (TBI) on the three polysemous prepositions :on,over, and above. The results show that the students from the ISBI group have performed much better than those from the TBI. This study has proved that the image-schema theory can serve as an effective pedagogical device in teaching English polysemous prepositions.
