文化翻译观下中国古典诗歌中“玉”意象的英译

A Cultural Perspective of the Translation of the "Jade" Image in Classical Chinese Poetry

“玉”文化在中国源远流长，古典诗歌里的“玉”意象蕴涵着中国传统文化丰富内涵。本文指出，在文化全球化的今天，译者应该从文化翻译的视角，研究中国古典诗歌中的“玉”文化，准确解读其间的“玉”意象。“玉”意象的英译当以异化为主，归化为辅，这对于传播汉文化经典中的“玉”文化具有重要意义。

The culture of ＂Jade＂ has a long history in China and the ＂jade＂ imagery in classical Chinese poetry contains colourful meanings suggested by the traditional Chinese culture. This paper points out that in a time of cultural globalization,translators should take a cultural perspective to study the cuhure of ＂jade＂ in classical Chinese poetry so as to get an accurate interpretation of the ＂jade＂ imagery in it. When translating the ＂jade＂ imagery into English,translators should take foreignization as the leading strategy and domestication as the supplement,which is of great significance to the transmission of the classical Chinese ＂jade＂ culture.
