China's economic trends and policy orientation in the second half of the year

2009年上半年，随着应对国际金融危机、保持经济平稳较快发展的一揽子计划的逐步落实，经济运行中积极因素不断增多，国民经济已企稳向好。农业生产增长平稳，工业生产快速回升，结构调整积极推进，民生继续得到改善，但回升基础尚不稳固。展望全年，由于国际形势仍存在不确定因素，我国经济发展面临的困难和挑战仍然很多，但国内生产总值增长速度仍将会达到8％以上。

In the first half of 2009, with the response to the international financial crisis and maintain stable and rapid economic development, the gradual implementation of the positive factors in economic operations have increased, the national economy has been stabilized for the better. Agricultural production is steadily growing, industrial production rebounds quickly, structural adjustment is actively promoting, the people's livelihood continues to improve. But the re-bound is not yet solid. Looking as a whole, there are still uncertainties in the international situation, China's economy is still facing difficulties and challenges, but the GDP growth rate is expected to reach more than 8%.
