Clinical research is an importantway to promote the academic development of Traditional Chinese Medicine （TCM）. Different types of designs can be used in TCM clinical research. It is very important to improve the quality of the traditional Chinese medicine research by studying the baseline from the perspective of medical research methodology and TCM subject characteristics.
