论治学求真与政治间的背反现象——以历史学为例

On the Antinomy between Seeking the Truth in Academic Learning and Politics——A Case from Historiography

从中国学术发展史的历程来看,将学术当作工具,靠损伤学术来满足政治的需要,从根本上说弊端多多。我们既然认可学术(求真)和政治(致用)均为人所必须,那就不能"只许其一,不许其二"。学术的本质在求真,政治的本质在实用,学术界与政治界是两个相对独立的界域,二者应当各司其职。学术、政治虽然最终统一于"人",但却不能互相替代。摆正学术与政治的位置关键在于处理好"求真"与"致用"的关系,这一长期困扰学术界的难题,实际上涉及学术与政治之间的一种"背反"现象。对这一现象加以透析,有助于重新认识"求真"与"致用"的关系。

In the history of academic learning, to meet the needs of politics through harming academic learning has many abuses in essence. Since we recognize that seeking the truth in academic learning and utilization in politics are necessary for people, both should exist together. The academic community and political community are two separate areas. Although academic learning and politics are united in the angle of＂ person＂, they can＇ t be taken place of each other. The key to giving their own positions lie in the relationship of how to deal with ＂seeking the truth＂and＂utilization＂. In fact, this is＂antinomy＂, which is helpful in understanding the rela- tionship between＂seeking the truth＇and＂utilization＂.
