A new-typs storage architecture for multimedia documents

本文根据信息系统中多媒体数据的特点，提出了一种能有效地组织、存储多媒体数据的文档存储结构．该结构在对象键接与嵌入（OLE）及二进制大对象BLOBs技术的支持下，集成各种类型的多媒体数据，并采用宏文档网络分布结构，构造一种以文档为中心的多媒体数据的组织、存储方式，可以有效地提高信息系统中多媒体数据的存储及处理效率．

In this paper the characteristic features of multimedia data in informationsystem is studied and a new-type document-storage architecture capable of effectivelyorganizing and storing multimedia data is proposed. Supported by the object link andembedment (OLE) and binary large ovbject (BLOB), this architecture integrates varioustypes of multimedia data, and uses a macro distributed system of document network toconstruct an organizing and storing mode for multimedia data with document at thecore, thus imprvoing the storage and handling efficiencies for the multimedia data ininformation system effectively.
