The Utilization of Genic-male Sterility Genes in Maize

本文回顾了玉米核雄性不育 (又称基因雄性不育 )研究和发展的历史 ,总结了这一领域的最新研究动态 ,围绕如何利用核雄性不育这一主题 ,比较分析了以核不育标记基因、双杂合系、光温敏不育基因和工程雄性不育基因为代表的各种方法的优缺点 。

The history and current focus on maize genic-male sterility(GMS)research were discussed with emphasis on the utilization of this kind of sterility resource in maize production.Four methods including GMS marker gene,double-heterozygous line,photo-and thermosensitive gene,and engineering male sterility were compared with their advantages and restrictions.Some propositions on the future research of this field were given accordingly.
