The concept,origin and development of intelligent building are briefly introduced.Based upon analysis on the design intentions of intelligent buildings the composition and related supporting facilities of intelligent buildings are elaborated.The influences of intelligent building on project planning and architectural design are summarized,in order to promote the design and application of intelligent buildings.
