摘要
基于面向对象技术的基本思想和开发过程,介绍了数据库的发展,比较了关系型数据库和面向对象数据库,说明了面向对象数据库产生的必然性、特征和核心技术。结合具体实例对面向对象技术在数据库系统结构设计和详细设计中的应用进行了详细探讨,利用Versant公司的面向对象数据库系统FastObjects,展示了面向对象数据库的基本操作。
Based on the basic thought and development process of object-oriented technology, the development of database are introduced and the relational database and object-oriented database are comparsion. The necessity of the appearance of object-oriented database and its characters and core technologies are analyzed. Combining with the concrete examples, the applications of object-oriented technology in the structure design of database system are discussed. The basic operation of object-oriented database is displayed by the FastObjects which is produced by Versant Company.
