Shadow Play and Film——A Study of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Folk Beliefs

皮影源自古代的招魂巫术,民间信仰是皮影传承的重要基石。非物质文化遗产保护运动的学理基础是科学思维,对巫术思维具有天然的排斥,既要保护,又排斥其赖以存在的文化土壤,形成了非物质文化遗产保护中的悖论。当代的民间信仰主要是民众追求幸福生活的表达方式,具有一定的心理调适功能,应当为其留出发展空间,使非物质文化在原生态的环境中得以传承。

Before the film was introduced to china, shadow play played an important role in Chinese people＇s life. Due to the popularity of the film, the shadow play gradually disappears. Field survey suggests, in the southern part of Henan China, farmers still like to see shadow play. They believe that shadow play will give them wealth and good luck. As a case of culture transmission, it tells us a fact that the folk beliefs play a very important role in the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. In order to better proteet our country＇s intangible cultural heritage, we should correctly deal with folk beliefs.
