近代教育家陈子褒的女子教育思想及其实践活动述评

A Review on Contemporary Educationalist Chen Zibao’s Thinking on Women’s Education and Its Practices

陈子褒是我国近代广东著名的教育家,他提倡男女平等教育、小学教育权归于女子等教育思想,他招收女生、兴办女学、编写妇女读物等教育实践活动,在当时教育领域具有先驱者的作用,促进了中国近代教育的发展,推动了社会的进步,对我们当前的女子教育仍有借鉴意义。

Chen Zibao is a renowned educationalist in contemporary Chinese history. He advocated equal educational opportunities for both men and women. He initiated a series of educational activities such as enrolling girls, setting up girls＇ schools, and compiling reading materials for women, all of which earned him the reputation of being a forerunner in the field of education at that time. Chen＇s educational practices have facilitated the development of contemporary education in China and promoted social progress, which are of referential value to our present women＇s education.
