摘要
词汇习得是大学英语学习重要的一部分,教师应重视词汇教学。教师可根据词汇习得规律,以构词法、范畴理论及语义场等理论指导词汇教学,帮助学生实现对词汇的语义认知,同时引导学生利用元认知策略进行词汇学习,最终达到词汇习得的目的。
Vocabulary acquisition is one of the vital parts in college English studying and it is advisable for the teacher to attach importance to vocabulary teaching. Based on the vocabulary acquisition features, the theories of word-formation, cognitive categorization and Semantic Fields can be applied to instruct vocabulary acquisition; in addition, meta-cognitive strategies can be used to guide the students in their acquisition of English vocabulary. All these efforts aim to promote the students' semantic cognition and improve their vocabulary. competence.
