Lexical Gap of the Cultural Differences in Chinese and English

将汉英词汇空缺存在形式归为三个方面,即:指称意义;语用意义和言内意义,进而分析文化差异是形成汉英词汇空缺的原因。

In this paper the author presents the lexical gaps in the Chinese and English lexica, which exist in three aspects： designative meaning, pragmatic meaning and linguistic meaning. Then the paper shows that the great influence of cultural differences of two languages is the reason for the lexieal gaps.
