摘要
仿拟是仿照人们熟知的现成的语言材料,通过重复、类比、删减、添加等方式,借助具体的题旨情境以达到幽默俏皮、强化语势等效果的修辞格。当代英文电影对白中有大量的仿拟习语或仿句现象,但其汉语翻译质量堪忧。仿拟习语的存在是语言自身因素和语言使用者因素共同作用的结果,迎合了人们的语言审美心理,但同时也受到规约原则的限制。所以,仿拟习语的翻译应在充分正确理解原文各层面意义和效果的基础上保证译文的效度。
Parody is a kind of rhetorical devices which imitates the fixed expressions to produce humor or to enhance charm or vigor of a language by means of repetition, analogy, deletion and adding etc. Although it can be frequently found in English movie lines, many of Chinese translations can not properly handle it. Parody of English idioms is the result of a cooperation of language factors and language user factors, and it caters to people's aesthetic requirement from language. Additionally, parody of English idioms is confined to certain conventionality principles. Thus, translators should fully understand its semantic and pragmatic meanings and aim for validity rather than fidelity in translation.
