World War II is a watershed which shifts the Western empire narration center from Eu- rope to the United States, and the American writer Herman Wouk' s novels of World War II, which are The Winds of War and its sequel War and Remembrance, mark the establishment of the central position of the United states in the Western cultural empine. Its central position is a- chieved through discourses that include power civilization, Atlanticism and Christ' s Second coming. Therefore, Chinese scholars who pursue global cultural diversity need to subvert the em- pire narration which permeates Wouk' s works and to reconstruct them in the post-colonial way.
