Practice and Implications of Coordinated Employment in Urban and Rural Areas: Taking SND as an Example

统筹城乡就业作为一种政策实践,很多地区早就在探索。苏州高新区在全市率先改变城乡二元化的就业状况,实行城乡统一的就业政策,通过一系列举措,建立了城乡统筹的就业制度,构建了劳动力平等竞争、同等就业、同工同酬的城乡就业新格局,为全省乃至全国在新时期实现城乡就业一体化目标提供了有益的借鉴。

Coordinated employment in urban and rural areas as a policy has been studied in many areas. Suzhou National New ＆ Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone （SND） takes the lead in the implementation of integrated urban and rural employment policy to replace the urban-rural dual employment through a series of initiatives to establish a coordinated employment system so that a new pattern has been formed which ensures equal competition for equal employment opportunities, and same pay for same work. This model has provided useful reference for realizing the goal of integrated urban and rural employment in the province and the national-wide as well.
