It is very important but difficult to evaluate research on Western political development. The contributions by the research to political development are concerned about every part of the political development, put forward various views on it, create different approaches to studying it and collect large amount of data about it. The limitations of the research on Western political development are Occidentalism. Some aspects of political development cannot win sufficient attention and theoretical construction is not perfect. Therefore, how to hold clear attitudes in stand, keep subjects up with the times, be brave in thought innovation, and use diverse research methods can enlighten research on Western oolitical develooment.
