Review and Prospects on Some Questions of Forest Gaps

本文综述了林窗概念、意义,以及林窗研究中的几个问题。关于林窗的概念较多,分别体现了林窗的各个侧面。林窗是森林的自身属性,林窗形成是森林生物多样性维持和发展的必然过程。总结了林窗的大小、边界木、形成木、物质和能量环境等特征的一些基础数据,还强调了林窗干扰时空格局研究的重要性。从林业生产实践的需要出发,阐明了林窗干扰和森林管理的问题。最后指出了林窗干扰研究需要重视数据的积累,重视植物生理学研究、林窗动态的长期监测,以及综合、分析和比较的思路。

A summary is made of the concept,importance and some questions of gaps in the studies of forest gaps in this paper. There are many concepts about forest gaps ,which respectively reflect the different sides. The forest gap is a feature of forests themselves and the gap formation also was inevitable process for maintenance and development of forest biodiversity. This paper sums up data about characteristics of size, gap border trees, gap creators, matter and energy environments, and emphasizes the importance of the studies of gaps disturbing the time and spatial patterns. Considering the practical need of forestry, the questions of gap effects and forest management are expounded. Finally, it is pointed out that great attention should be paid to the datum collections, the idea of comprehension, comparison and analyzing, studies of plant physiology and long-term monitoring of gap dynamics in the future.
