On the Translation of Literature

翻译讲究"信"、"达"、"雅",不同文体的翻译有其各自的翻译标准及策略。文学翻译是文学创作的一种形式,在文学翻译中译者必须遵循忠实、通顺,真实地反映原作的艺术现实的艺术性原则及符合译作的本民族的语言习惯的原则等。因此就要探讨文学翻译的标准、模式及策略。

There are three words as translation criteria： faithfulness, expressiveness and elegance. Various styles have their own translation criteria and strategies. The translation of literature is a kind of form, In translation ,the translator must be faithful, iluent, truly refleet the reality of original art and the artistic principles of this nation to be in hne with the the principles of translators＇nation ,such as language habits and so on.This paper explores strategies for literary translation and its criteria.
