The Abroad Rooting of Buddhism,Taoism and Chinese Culture in Chinese People in America and Australia

在当今的美国和澳洲,华人佛、道教活动不断,渠道多种多样:举办佛学讲座;从事救灾活动;佛家与有丧事之家合作完成葬礼;借着中华传统节日开办法会,并同商家联合行动。中华传统文化能够在海外生根,乃因大量华人移民采取中华传统生活方式,此为中华文化移植的基本因素;华人群体是移植的中坚力量;商人是活泼因素;佛、道教本身是中华传统文化的重要组成部分。

There are many kinds of activities of Buddhism and Taoism in Chinese People in America and Australia, such as lectures on Buddhism, disaster relief, Buddhist funeral; conferences sponsored by business in the holiday of China. That Chinese traditional culture could root abroad, is caused by the traditional life style of Chinese people abroad, which is the base of Chinese culture transplantation. In this transplantation, Chinese people is the main drive power, business men are active causes, and Buddhism and Taoism are two important components of Chinese traditional culture.
