Negative transfer of EGP lexical fossilization in ESP vocabulary learning

一般用途英语词汇知识对专门用途英语词汇学习有很大的影响，但很少有学者对二者的关系开展过实证研究。在借鉴中介语石化现象研究成果的基础上，本文运用母语对目标语的迁移和中介语石化现象理论阐述了EGP词汇知识与ESP词汇学习之间的关系。通过商务英语英汉翻译的实证研究。文章论证了EGP词义石化对ESP词汇学习所产生的负迁移，并在分析其成因的基础上提出了应对的教学策略。笔者希望本研究能引发学界对专门用途英语词汇教学进行更深入的研究。

Based on an empirical study of Business E-C Translation, this paper proves the negative transfer of EGP lexical fossilization as it affects ESP vocabulary learning. Although few researchers would deny that EGP lexical knowledge has a great impact on ESP vocabulary learning, the exact nature of their relationship has not been addressed yet. It is hoped that the ideas presented in this paper might trigger more focused investigation into ESP vocabulary teaching and learning.
