摘要
本文是大规模计算机辅助英语口语测试效果的实证研究报告。本研究中的机助口语测试依据人本主义心理学理论,通过多感官刺激和人性化考试设置为受试者创造较为真实且轻松的语言交际环境。文章从受试者角度对大规模口语机考的题型及其对考生焦虑度的影响和教师反应进行研究,论证了口语机考的可行性和整体测试效果。
The paper is a report on an empirical study of the effect of the large-scale computer-assisted SET ( Spoken English Test). Based on humanistic concepts, the tests provide the testees an authentic and relaxing communicative environment by integrating the multi-sensory stimulus into the test items and setup. Then the paper analyzes from the testees' perspective the test items and their effect on the state anxiety as well as the teachers' responses to the tests, which proves the feasibility and efficacy of the computer-assisted SET in testing spoken proficiency. The study gives some insight into the efficient implementation of the large-scale computer-assisted SET in colleges and universities.
