Mutual affection between Qian Xuesen and Tsinghua University(A continuation)

该文是《清华大学学报(自然科学版)》2008年第11期发表的《钱学森与清华大学之情缘》的续篇,补充说明了钱学森被清华大学选派赴美国留学的历史背景和清华大学特别安排4位导师对他培养的鲜为人知的史实;并补充他1947年回母校讲学,为什么拒绝当时国民政府委任他担任交大校长的历史材料;介绍了他1955年10月初回到祖国怀抱的曲折过程和到北京后的活动。

This paper continues an article, entitled ＂Mutual affection between Qian Xuesen and Tsinghua University＂, published in Journal of Tsinghua University （Sci ＆ Tech） in November, 2008. The author complements important facts related to the background of the event that Qian Xuesen was selected to be sent by Tsinghua University as a student to study in the United States and the history that Tsinghua University appointed four famous professors to provide Qian Xuesen with special training. The author also reveals that Qian Xuesen returned to Tsinghua to make academic speeches in 1947 and that he refused the Nanking Kuomintang government＇s appointment as president of The Jiaotong University. His return to China in October, 1955, is also introduced, as well as his social activities in Beijing.
