The profound significance of the concepts of pattern and graphics was clarified with comparison of the two concepts and application analysis. Their different characteristics were expounded from the aspects of emergence, development, and connotation. The connotation and mutual relationship between pattern and graphics were studied. The purpose was to clarify their boundary, to master their essence, and to apply them correctly in practice.
