英语全球化与大学英语教育

摘要 随着英语在全世界范围内的广泛传播,英语已经成为各国沟通的桥梁和基础。为了使我国在全球化背景下更具竞争力,对人才的需求有了新的变化,而对人才英语能力的要求更有所提高。在这样的背景下,作为语言教学工作者,既要看到借鉴西方外语教学理论方法的必然性,更要看到继承我国外语教育传统的必要性,这样才能使得我国的大学英语教育在现代性和民族性的融合中不失去民族性并赋予其国际性。"地球村"人们比以往任何时候更需要一门国际通用语言来满足交流的需要。在此背景下,应该清楚认识已然转变的英语角色,把握英语的"本土化"特征,确立英语教育的新的目标、内容和方法,以适应"全球化"的发展趋势。
