拉什迪的小说《羞耻》直面印度次大陆后殖民时代分裂的历史,用拼接碎片的方式重新构建感知历史的角度,体现了元小说的开拓和尝试。小说体现了作者对后殖民时代的独特认识,但这可能在针对西方世界的偏见将之普遍化的过程中同时也失去了探寻一种不同于西方的主体性的可能。

Salman · Rushidie＇s 〈 Shame 〉 which dealt with the history of Indian subcontinent division, endeavored to attempt new practice on metanovel, through reconstructed new perspective about history by connected the parts of experiences. We can appreciate the communization process of post -colonialism politics, at the same time, well miss the probability to spot a special subjectivity.
