On the Beauty and Fragrances of Zeng Xijing's Poetry——Probing into His Usage of Colors

曾习经是晚清广东文坛上的佼佼者,他的诗词深情绵邈、绮丽精工,其用语多绮丽华艳、对仗工整,尤其善于使用色彩,常借助其对自然事物敏感细腻的捕捉能力,巧妙地用色彩将诗人对自然事物的美学意蕴表达出来,并以此创造意境,含蓄地抒发自己内心的情感。他在色彩的运用上,能构造种种美,又恰到好处地使之与大自然相和谐,这主要通过设色浓艳、冷艳和化凡为奇等手法进行表达,本文将从这三个方面来论述曾习经诗词在用色方面的特点。

Zeng Xijing was an outstanding person in the literary field of late Qing Dynasty. His poetry stretched his affection, beautiful delicacy; his language was beautifully resplendent, while the antitheses are exquisite. He was good at using color, often with natural ability to capture the delicate. He was clever to use the color to express the beauty and the aesthetics of nature and to create ideal condition, expressing his innermost feelings and his implicitly emotion. The author thought that his use of color can construct all sorts of beauty, which just fit into the harmonious nature through strong colors and rich tints, cold tone and other techniques turning ordinary into wonderful. This article gives an account from these three aspects to elaborate Zeng Xijing＇s characteristic of using color in his poetry.
