Recently, Delphi Corporation has successfully developed a novel powerplant mounting system, by adapting a MR fluid that is able to adjust dynamic stiffness in real-time. The advantages of the system are lower noise and vibration, improved vehicle performance and stability, and reduced impact on passengers caused by change of torque for various driving conditions, i.e. startup.
