Regulatory T cells( T regs)can be divided into the nature group and the induced group based on the different origins. There are many markers expressed in them, including CD25 ,CD127 and Foxp3 et al, and the most specific one is the Foxp3. A high frequency of T regs can be found in the blood and liver of chronically HBV infected subjects, it is positive correlate with HBV DNA level and HBeAg level. HBV specific T regs can suppress the proliferation and interferon production of HBV specific CD8+ T cells, so they play an important role in HBV infection.
