经济低迷期公共图书馆的需求与发展——以东莞市为例

Demands and Development of Public Libraries in the Economic Downturn Period:Evidence from Dongguan City

分析了20世纪30年代欧美公共图书馆的发展,指出了经济低速期公共图书馆需求的增加和发展的对策:经济的低速要求资源的节约和共享,需求的增加要求服务的高效和优质。在此基础上,以东莞为例,分析了东莞的人口结构与经济低速期对公共图书馆的需求可能,认为在经济低速期对公共图书馆的需求将有所增加。对此,通过对东莞公共图书馆发展现状的分析,认为其必须继续推进集约发展的总分馆制,以节约和共享资源;同时,针对现实需求,在经济低速期应给予大众人文关怀,促进社会和谐;加强教育和培训功能,促进就业;加强企业信息服务,促进企业转型。

This article pointed out the demand for public libraries, their role and development on the basis of the examples of libraries in Europe and America in the economic downturn period. The author analyzes the possible demand for Dongguan public libraries during the economic downturn. It concluds that it must continue to promote the intensive development of the library, humanistic concern to the public, promote employment, information service to businesses and their transition.
