语义模糊的界定及与其他相关语义特征的区别

Defining Semantic Fuzziness and Differentiating Semantic fuzziness from Other Related Semantic Properties

模糊是自然语言的内在属性和基本特征之一。作为模糊语言学中最重要的组成部分,语义模糊一直为语言学家和哲学家所关注。但学界在对语义模糊进行界定时,不同人却采用了不同的标准,致使其研究对象和目的长期处于不统一的状态。本文将从认知角度对语义模糊进行界定,同时将澄清语义模糊与含糊、笼统、歧义、多义等语义特征的区别与联系,以此为从认知角度对语义模糊进行深入研究打下基础。

Fuzziness, characterized by indeterminacy, degree and integrality is one of the intrinsic and most important features of natural language. It has long been in the interest of both linguists and philosophers. But when defining semantic fuzziness, people turn to so different criterion that no agreement has been made on the objective and the purpose of its study. A definition from cognitive perspective will be put forward and a clarification of the differences between fuzziness, vagueness, generality, ambiguity and plysemy will be made to pave a way for a deeper study of semantic fuzziness.
