The Korean Peninsula issues have always attracted a great deal of attention on the academic agendas of international relations. As an old notion, balance - of - power has been endowed with so many different meanings and types. In spite of a lot of changes following the end of the Cold War, this traditional notion keeps a helpful perspective for our analysis. Because of its abundant illuminations and important functions in the theories as well as the practices in international politics, balance -of- power should not be neglected.
