This paper introduces the definition and classification of lexical chunks, and then focuses theoretical bases, advantages and the specific pedagogical priciples of lexical approach to foreign language on the teaching. Finally, this paper concludes that lexical chunk approach is a practical way to reverse current less effective English teaching status and lead English teaching to a new developing platform.
