The Relationship between Christianity and Tragedy

关于基督教是否具有悲剧性的问题,学术界存在两种截然相反的观念。本文认为,出现对立观念的根源在于没有看到基督教内在的差异性。基督教既有信仰体验的成分,也有宗教实践理性化的成分。如果是从前者而言,它就具有悲剧性。如果从后者而言,它就是一种神学的图式化,无悲剧性可言。在基督教与悲剧的关系上,任何绝对化的观念都是片面的。

There are two opposite opinions concerning whether Christianity has tragedy or not in academic circles. This paper concludes that the root of the existent opposite opinions is the ignorance of the differences in Christianity, which is composed of the rationalization of religious practice as well as belief of experience. It is a tragedy being viewed from the former one, while it can be seen as a schematization of theology from the latter, resulting no tragedy. All the extreme opinions on the relationship between Christianity and tragedy are one -sided.
