On the Theory and Practice for 2014 Youth Olympic Games

运用文献资料等研究方法,对青奥会的产生背景、鲜明特色和价值目标进行了理论阐述。南京市是2014年青奥会申办城市之一,在申办过程中具有经济实力雄厚、社会政治稳定、比赛场馆齐全、办赛经验丰富等优势;同时面临与国际奥委会尚缺乏接触;与其他申办城市展开激烈竞争等挑战。据此,在外宣工作、申办报告、民众意识等方面提出申办策略。

By means of literature review, the paper theoretically discussed background, characteristics and the value of Youth Olympic Games. Nanjing is one of cities bidding for 2014 Youth Olympic Games, it has advantages on strong economic, social and political stability, a full range of the stadium, rich experi- ence in running games in the bidding process. At the same time, Nanjing also faced with many fierce challenges such as the lack of contact with the International Olympic Committee; competition with other bid cities, and so on. Based on the mentioned above, some suggestions and countermeasures are put forwarded in terms of propaganda work, the bidding report and the public awareness etc.
