老一辈画家对新疆山水画的开拓,使得用传统笔墨描绘新疆独特的地域山水成为可能。但要创造高品位的新疆山水画,仅凭写生和挖掘地貌资源还是远远不够的,因为新疆的山水画有自己独特的审美品格,只有深刻探究传统和地域文化,深入体验民族生活,才能在新疆山水画的写生和创作中不断提升审美情操和文化品位。

Owing to the hard work of the old generation painters to Xinjiang landscape paintings,it makes possible that the painters paint Xinjiang unique mountains and waters in traditional pens and ink. But it is far from enough to create first-level landscape paintings of Xinjiang only by sketch and surface earth resources. Because Xinjiang landscape possesses its unique beauty quality. Only by deeply probing into the tradition and regional culture, having a profound experience of the national life,can we increasingly raise our aesthetic quality and cultural level.
